Mohebban Al-Mahdi Youth Foundation is a community based youth organisation founded in 1994. Although Mohebban was initiated by Shia Muslim youth, we strive to empower youth from our local communities without any discrimination of race, religion, cast, colour or ethnicity. We organise recreational, social and interfaith activities for our local communities and since restructuring of our organisation in 2006, we have enhanced our activity area to Greater Manchester.
We are a volunteers-run organisation which is managed and run by youth volunteers. Our regular youth members get together every Saturday and participate in learning and sports activities.
Our usual annual events include the following. However, we regularly consider the need and suitability of our events and introduce other alternative options in contrast the requirements of time and community.
· Beyond Karbala
· Back to Karbala
· Preface to Karbala
· Christianity & Islam; The Relgions of Mercy
· Martyrdom of Lailutul Qadr
· Chosen Among Women; Holy Mary and Lady Fatima
· Voice of Human Justice
· Annual Imam Al-Mahdi Conference
